The data is available for all US companies that report Form 4. Insider trading involves trading in a public company&#8217;s stock by someone who has\u00a0non-public, material information\u00a0about that stock for any reason. In some cases, insider transactions could be very useful for making investment decisions, that&#8217;s why we added this data to our <a href=\"https:\/\/eodhd.com\/financial-apis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Financial APIs<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the moment we support two transaction codes. The transaction code &#8220;P&#8221; &#8211; Purchase of securities on an exchange or from another person. And the transaction code &#8220;S&#8221; &#8211; Sale of securities on an exchange or to another person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Supported fields for both transaction codes Purchase and Sale are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Report Date.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Owner CIK, owner name, owner relationship, owner title (or officer title).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transaction date, transaction amount, transaction price, transaction type.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Post-transaction amount.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SEC Link.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1561\" height=\"1082\" src=\"https:\/\/eodhistoricaldata.com\/financial-apis-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-815\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are more transaction codes in Forms 3, 4, and 5 and you can get all of them with detailed explanations in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/files\/forms-3-4-5.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SEC Investor Bulletin Forms 3, 4, and 5<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or get more information about Insider Transaction data and many other fields like financial reports, earnings per shares, income statements, balance sheets, cash flows and other useful data in our <a href=\"https:\/\/eodhd.com\/financial-apis\/stock-etfs-fundamental-data-feeds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fundamental API<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week we expanded our Fundamental API and added Insider Transactions as they reported in Form 4 to SEC.
