Dividends+ is a daily report in API format that shows stocks with upcoming dividends and tracks some interesting metrics:

Key Metrics:

  • Ex-to-Pay is average percentage gain or loss in stock price from an ex-dividend date to the dividend payment date for the last 2 years.
  • 30-Before-Ex is average percentage gain or loss in stock price from a month before an ex-dividend date to the ex-dividend date for the last 2 years.
  • Pay-to-Ex is average percentage gain or loss in stock price from a dividend payment date to the next ex-dividend date for the last 2 years.
  • Pay-to-Pay is average percentage gain or loss in stock price from a dividend payment date to the next payment date.

These metrics help identify companies valued for their strong dividend performance or overall quality, offering returns through both dividends and long-term price appreciation. Additionally, these metrics provide insight into purchasing patterns of large firms that tend to acquire dividend stocks before the ex-dividend date. For example, a high 30-Before-Ex value might indicate such a pattern.
