In addition, the company engages in the financing, management, and operation of transport and social infrastructure concessions; production and marketing of cement, concrete, aggregate, and mortar. Further, it is involved in housing rental projects; leasing and management of office buildings, commercial premises, and shopping centres; urban land management; and promotion and sale of real estate products. The company was formerly known as Fomento de Obras y Construcciones S.A. and changed its name to Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas, S.A. in January 1992.
