The Media & EC segment provides media-related services, such as media and advertising, search, marketing solutions, vertical, content, and stamps; commerce-related services, including shopping services; reuse services; O2O services; and AI, healthcare, and other services. The Financial segment offers mobile payments and other electronic payment services; payment processing services comprising credit cards, electronic money, and QR codes; and online securities trading service for smartphones. The company also engages in the planning and production of digital media and content. SoftBank Corp. was formerly known as SoftBank Mobile Corp. and changed its name to SoftBank Corp. in May 2015. The company was incorporated in 1986 and is based in Tokyo, Japan.
